Minister Jhankri urges ADB to intensify project works

Kathmandu: Minister for Urban Development Ram Kumari Jhankri has stressed the need for expediting the works of projects funded by the Asian Development Bank.

During a meeting with the representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Friday, Minster Jhanri urged the ADB representatives to intensify the ADB-funded projects.

According to the minister, the revision of the National Urban Policy and the draft of the Urban Development Bill were in the final stage.

On the occasion, Director General at the ADB South Asia Department, Kenichi Yokoyama, viewed that the ADB was always ready to cooperate with the ministry.

Ministry Spokesperson Rabindra Bohara said the discussion reviewed the ADB-funded projects and potential areas of future cooperation.
