PM Deuba says National Security and Defense policies implemented to bolster national security

Kathmandu: PM Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed the need for bolstering national security and defence.

Speaking on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the National Security Council Secretariat on Wednesday, PM Deuba said the National Security Policy and action plans were implemented for strengthening the national security and defence.

On the occasion, he also thanked the Council for the regular updates and suggestions to the government by objectively accessing the security threats and challenges for the country.  

secretary at the Ministry of Defense Kiran Raj Sharma said that the National Security Council was working with a high priority on issues such as internal security and defence challenges of the country.

According to information shared on the occasion the guidelines on National Security Policy, 2075 BS will be implemented from today.
