Government hopes smooth operation of HoR session: Minister Badu

Kathmandu: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dilendra Prasad Badu has expressed the belief that the obstructed House of Representatives session would resume as the main opposition CPN (UML) became a part of the recommendation committee to proceed with the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Rana.

Speaking after the House meeting on Sunday, minister Badu said the government has taken the UML move to send a name-list of its leaders to become members of the committee in a positive way.

Law Minister Badu also pledged to forward the parliamentary business and connect itself with people once there is help from the opposition.

“We expect to face a question from the people if the obstruction in the House continues,” he said, adding the government is of the view of making it vibrant.
