PM Deuba condoles Lama’s demise

Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba extended grief over the demise of DB Lama who served as an aide to former NC President and former Prime Minister late Giriraj Prasad Koirala.

Lama passed away on March 1 at his residence in Lalitpur. He was 71-year-old.

In a condolence message given on Friday, PM Deuba paid tributes to late Lama and expressed condolences to the bereaved family of Lama on the behalf of NC and himself.

Lama had worked as an aide to the late Koirala since 2028 BS and contributed significantly to hijack an aeroplane in 2030 BS in a bid to collect funds for the freedom movements in Nepal, the NC party office said.

He is survived by spouse, a daughter and a son.
