PM Deuba and US State Secretary Blinken discuss bilateral and world issues (audio report)

March 2, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the duo discussed issues related to poverty alleviation, development and climate change during the telephone conversation on Tuesday night.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Deuba said, during his conversation with Bliken, he expressed gratitude for the 75 years of continued US support to Nepal.
Speaking to Prime Minister Deuba, Secretary Blinken said that Nepal’s decision to move ahead with the US grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) would be pivotal in creating employment, building infrastructure and improving the living standards of Nepali citizens.
Prime Minister Deuba and Secretary of state Blinken also discussed the Ukraine war during their telephone conversation.
