Finance ministry reviews bi-annual budget of current fiscal year

Kathmandu: Finance Minister Janarden Sharma has said the desired development budget could not be spent due to legal and structural hurdles.

Unveiling the bi-annual review report of the current budget on Thursday, Finance Minister Sharma said those responsible to carry out the project works did not make honest efforts.

The finance minister also said that and shortage of competent human resources was an equally significant hindrance for the implanting the budget.

He presented the revised estimate of budget spending 1.54 trillion-rupees out of the total budget, which is 94.7 percent of the total budget.
