Shree Panchami today ; President says working with new generation imperative for development

February 6, Kathmandu: Today is Basanta Panchami and Saraswati Puja also know as Shree Panchami. Spring is said the start from today as per the Hindu tradition. Similarly, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom Saraswati is worshipped on the occasion of Saraswati Puja today.

Meanwhile, President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said it is time for all to commit to finding a new way for sustainable socioeconomic development of the country.

Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Basanti Panchami and Saraswati puja today, the President wished for promotion of national awareness via education and wisdom so that the country would see meaningful change.

She extended best wishes to all Nepali brothers and sisters living in the country and abroad on the occasion of the Saraswati puja. The President said the country needs to cater quality education and produce professional human resources for the development.

She said working with the new generation for innovation was imperative.
