First batch of Nepali workers leaves for Israel (audio report)

January 19, Kathmandu: The first batch of Nepali nationals was selected to work as auxiliary workers in the caregiving sector left for Israel on Wednesday.
More than 1000 Nepali nationals selected as auxiliary workers are scheduled to leave for Israel in the coming weeks.
Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha and the Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder had reached the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to bid the workers farewell.
Meanwhile, the Government of Nepal and the Government of the State of Israel have decided to establish a Joint Working Team to prepare a bilateral agreement for sending Nepali nationals to work in the construction sector in Israel.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision came after a constructive dialogue between Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka and Israeli Ambassador Hanan Goder on Wednesday afternoon.
