Education ministry decides to close schools till Jan 29

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has decided to close schools across the country from tomorrow till January 29.

Issuing a press release today, the Ministry has decided to close all the schools till January 29 to coincide with the annual holiday due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 infection in Nepal and the confirmation of the Omicron variant.

The Ministry’s Joint Secretary and Spokesperson, Deepak Sharma, said that the universities and educational institutes should conduct the pre-scheduled examinations in full compliance with the health standards.
