Government is serious on climate change issues-PM Deuba

January 8, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been working seriously on the issues of climate change and its impacts.

Prime Minister Deuba pointed out the need for the government, private sector and other stakeholders to work together on the issues of climate change.

In his address to a programme ‘Unity for Sustainability’ organized on Friday by Annapurna Media Network in the context of climate change, PM Deuba claimed that the government had categorically put its stance on climate change at the national and international arena.

Saying that media can also play a crucial role to lessen the negative impacts of climate change, PM Deuba, urged multiple stakeholders to remain active in addressing the climate issues.

PM Deuba also expressed the government’s commitment to work on climate change agenda with short-term and long-term plans.
