Number of districts issuing restrictions due to corona virus infection reaches 45

Kathmandu, May 4: The number of districts issuing restrictions due to corona virus infection in Nepal has reached 45. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the local administration has issued full and partial restraining orders in 37 districts.

Prohibitory orders are being issued in various districts after the government gave the authority to issue prohibitory orders to the Chief District Officer depending on the situation.

According to sub-section 2 of the Infectious Diseases Control Act 2020, the government has given the authority to issue prohibitory orders or other necessary orders in districts in hilly and mountainous region in Kathmandu Valley and Terai with 200 and 500 active infections respectively.
