Home Ministry urges people to abide by prohibitory orders
April 29, Kathmandu: Prohibitory orders have been enforced in various parts of the country as corona infection spikes with detection of new variants of the virus.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has urged all to abide by the orders issued by the Chief District Officers and help in the government’s efforts to curb covid-19 pandemic.
Issuing a notice on Thursday, Spokesperson of the ministry Janak Raj Dahal asked people not to come out of homes during the prohibitory period except for highly essential works.
Meanwhile, a prohibitory order has been enforced in the Kathmandu Valley from Thursday, bringing all services except highly essential ones to a halt.
The prohibitory order has been enforced as per the decision of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur on April 26.
Meantime, Nepal Oil Corporation has said the petrol pumps in the valley would remain operational to ensure smooth mobility of the vehicles that have permission to ply even during the prohibitory period.
Moreover, prohibitory orders have come into effects in Rupandehi from today. Likewise, mobility will be restricted in Sunsari from Friday.
Similarly, the Seti Provincial Hospital at Tikapur has shut services except the highly essential ones citing increasing threat of the coronavirus infection.
Furthermore, the Seti Provincial Hospital has shut the elective surgery and OPD services.
Bharatpur Hospital in Chiwan is also shutting the services from tomorrow except the emergency ones.
