Nepal restricts departure towards third destination countries making TIA transit

Kathmandu 27 April: Nepal government has restricted the arrival of foreigners intending to use Tribhuvan International Airport as a transit point to depart the third destination nations.

The Department of Immigration informed that the decision was made to restrict the passengers using TIA as a transit point since the growing threat of Covid 19 in the country.

The decision will come into effect from 28 April midnight.

However, ”There will be no restriction to the passengers that use TIA as a final destination and directly go to destination countries” The Department said.
