Council of Ministers decides to close schools in Corona affected areas

Kathmandu April 19: The government has decided to close schools in the areas affected by COVID-19.

Minister for Agriculture Padmakumari Aryal informed that the cabinet meeting held in Baluwatar this morning decided to close schools in the corona-affected areas and conduct online classes.

Last week the Ministry of Health and Population had recommended to the Covid Crisis Management Committee, to close schools in crowded urban areas, including the Kathmandu Valley, citing the rapid spread of corona infection among children under the age of 15.
