Finance Committee of HoR discusses on budget implementation

April 19, Kathmandu: The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has discussed the situation of the current budget implementation and formulation of the budget for the next fiscal year.

The committee had discussed the issues related to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Ministry of Drinking Water.

In the meeting, held on Sunday, Secretary at the Ministry of Energy Dinesh Kumar Ghimire said 57-megawatt electricity had been added to the national grid and an additional 3% population had got access to electricity in the present fiscal year.

Secretary Ghimire further said in the next fiscal year, the ministry would be focused on construing reservoir bases hydroelectricity projects, expanding transmission lines, and adding access to electricity for the public.
