Fresh mandate needed for development and prosperity : Minister Gurung
Kathmandu- Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has said the process to go for a fresh mandate had been initiated so as to drive the country towards a new path.
Speaking at a ‘5th ICT Award-2020’ organised by the Living With ICT in Kathmandu on Saturday, Minister Gurung said that the dissolution of the House of Representatives took place for the development and prosperity of the country.
“At present, politics needs maintenance like mobile and computer. So we started the maintenance of the politics by shortening five years term of the Parliament to three years,” Minister Gurung said.
Stating that there is a need for collaboration between government and private sector to work for further advancement of information technology, Minister Gurung, also Spokesperson of the incumbent government, said efforts were on to create an environment to bring back Nepali ICT experts working abroad.
Preparations were underway to form an eminent group that would comprise experts in information technology at home and abroad for the development of information technology, he said.
