Governors of 19 central banks agree to promote economic activities
Kathmandu- Governors and managing directors of 19 central banks of South East Asia have agreed to advance economic activities through concerted efforts amidst the impact of coronavirus pandemic.
The governors of 19 central banks of the South East Asian countries discussed and set a common approach in regard to policy arrangement adopted in mitigating negative impacts of COVID-19 on the economy.
The central bank leaders said this at the 56th high-level seminar and 40th meeting of 19 central bank governors and managing directors of South-East Asian countries. The workshop cum meeting was organized virtually.
Nepal Rastra Bank’s Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari was also present on the occasion. The meeting was presided over by the managing director of Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam.
Governor Adhikari attended the deliberations over policy proposal presented for the upcoming year.
