Road accident at Kalanki kills three, injures two
Kathmandu – At least three people died and two other sustained injuries on Thursday when a truck met with an accident in Kathmandu metropolis-14, Kalanki.The accident took place when a poultry truck en route to Sitapaila from Balkhu hit a parked truck at around 3.25 A.M. on Thursday morning.
Chief of Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari and Deputy Inspector General of Police Bisworaj Pokharel shared that Roshan Tamang, 24, Bhupendra Tamang, 27, and Madhab Ghimire, 37, of Nuwakot died in the accident.
All of them were travelling by the poultry transport truck.
They were taken to the Martyr Memorial Hospital Kalanki for treatment and were pronounced dead at 4.30 am in course of the treatment.
Two other injured are Rohan Tamang, 21, and Bijaya Tamang, 24, of Nuwakot. They are undergoing treatment in the same hospital.
An investigation into the incident is underway, said Police Circle Kalimati’s DSP Apilraj Bohora.
