Mahat calls for accepting beneficial foreign assistance

Nepali Congress joint general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said a foreign aid and assistance capable of addressing the nation’s needs and interest should be accepted.

In his address to a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union Kaski on Monday, opposition party leader Mahat claimed the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MMC), would serve the national interests and that was why Nepali Congress party had been supporting it.

He opined that being able to secure the nation’s necessities and interest from the bilateral relations was the main theme of the nation’s foreign policy.
