Nepali Cricket team gets victory over Kuwait in ICC World T20 Asia Qualifiers
July 27, Kathmandu: Nepal cricket team has recorded a victory against Kuwait in the final match of ICC World T20 Asia Regional Final Qualifiers in Singapore today.
At the Indian Association Ground, Nepal managed to pull off the victory against Kuwait by seven wickets. Earlier, Nepal won the toss, elected to field first and invited Kuwait for the batting. Kuwait set the target of 141 runs at the loss of nine wickets inside allotted 20.
Skipper Paras Khadka smashed 68 runs off 42 balls while Gyanendra Malla smashed 19 runs. Likewise, Sharad Vesawkar smashed 38 runs. Sandeep Lamichhane and Basanta Regmi picked up three wickets conceding 21 and 20 runs respectively in four overs.
Nepal has to win its final match against Singapore on Sunday in order to get qualified for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers slated for October in the United Arab Emirates.
