Mobile App for Tourists to be launched for Visit Nepal 2020
July 1, Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is going to launch the Tourist Police Mobile App in view of ensuring security to the tourists visiting Nepal in 2020.
Government of Nepal is going to observe 2020 as a Visit Nepal Year with an objective to attract over 2 million tourists to Nepal and the mobile app is being launched in view of this. The government has stepped up the preparations accordingly.
The mobile app, which is expected to address the issues relating to tourists, will be launched in a week. The app will have information on the location of tourist police, Dos and Don’ts for tourists while they are in Nepal, hotline numbers, how to reach out to police and feedbacks to get from tourists among others, according to Nepal Tourism Board.
Likewise, Tourist Police Unit has set up temporary tourist police offices at Bouddha in Kathmandu, Bandipur in Tanahu and Patihani in Chitwan for the facilitation of tourists
