Robust coordination among three-tier governments must: Minister Bhusal

Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ghanashyam Bhusal, has said robust coordination among all three layers of government is a must deliver public services effectively. The Ministry has begun launching the programmes in coordination with three governments.

At a programme here Friday, Minister Bhusal said, “Federal government conducts research, coordinates in the national and international levels, and ensures market management, while the state government does regulation and facilitation. Similarly, the local levels carry out the activities. To this, the coordination would be strengthened.”
He admitted that genuine farmers were bearing the brunt as the three governments were not working in tandem.

The Minister shared the story of those profit-makers who took grants from all three governments showing mere pictures of cow farms, which is a wrong trend. He further said programmes were planned in a bid to help generate at least Rs 30,000 to the family of five members.

On a different note, the Minister, however, said reaching country to socialism is not the government’s responsibility but of the party. “Once the NCP is made strong with party organization, it will create an atmosphere for socialism in the country,” he argued.

On the occasion, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment at State-5, Leela Giri, urged the party members to constructively give feedback to the government rather than berating it at tea shops. Also the central member and Rupandehi In-Charge of the party, Giri underscored the need for a harmonious struggle between the party and government. For this to happen, the party leaders and cadres can play positive roles, he suggested.

State Assemblymember of the party and NCP leader Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary, however, complained that the government failed to make publicity of its good works.
