Birds counting begins in Koshi Tappu wildlife Reserve from today.

The census of birds has begun in Koshi Tappu wildlife Reserve from today.

Koshi Tappu wild life reserve and Koshi Bird Society jointly took initiation of the birds counting. Conservation officer at the reserve Ram Chanadra Chaudhary informed the counting was aimed at finding the factual data of the birds residing in the reserve. Chaudary further informed the equipment including monocular, sorting scope, data sheet compass and GPS would be used for the counting of birds. He said the counting would conclude in 7 to 10 days and seven teams have been deployed for the same.
