Work procedure on naming State – 2076 BS approved

Yesterday’s meeting of the State-3 State Assembly unanimously endorsed the proposal on operational procedure for naming the state.

The procedures got endorsed with the state assembly approving the proposal tabled by chief whip of Communist Party Rameswor Fuyal.

The proposal was seconded by chief whip of main opposition Nepali Congress Radha Ghale and State Assembly member Ramesh Poudel.

Taking part in the deliberations on the bill, state assembly members, including Dr Rajendra Prasad Shrestha, Ramesh Poudel, Narottam Baidya, Om Bahadur Ghalan and Prateema Shrestha suggested to the state assembly to take decision on naming the state only after garnering public inputs from 13 districts.

They also suggested to the assembly to form a separate task force to collect feedbacks from public in the state-3 districts.
Following this, proposer Fuyal pledged to move ahead by incorporating the aspirations of state assembly members. Next meeting of the state assembly will take place at 3.00 pm on January 8.
