NC calls on rebel candidates to withdraw their candidacies by October 17

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has called on the rebel candidates to withdraw their candidacies by October 17.

Issuing a statement on Thursday, the party made it clear that it would not take action against the rebel candidates and their supporters if they withdrew their candidacies by the deadline.

The Nepali Congress on Wednesday announced that it would suspend the rebel candidates and their supporters for five years as they filed candidacies against the candidates of the ruling coalition.
