Landslide kills three people at Aathbiskot in Rukum West

Rukum West: A landslide that occurred at Aathbishkot Municipality of Rukum West has claimed three lives.

Chair of Jajarkot Nalgadh Municipality-4, Badri Panta informed that 35-year-old Balmati Rana, her 5-year-old daughter Trisena Rana and her other 2-year-old daughter Prathiksha Rana of Bheri Municipality in Jajarkot died in the landslide.

The landslide is said to have occurred when they were taking shelter in a building of Chhotetara Community Forest Consumers’ Group.

Heavy rain has also damaged 5 houses in the area.
