Radio Nepal signs performance appraisal, aims to expand broadcasting reach

Kathmandu: A performance appraisal has been signed between Radio Nepal and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for the fiscal year 2022/23.
Communication secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal and Radio Nepal’s Executive Director Buddhi Bahadur KC signed the appraisal at an event organized today by the Ministry to reach a performance appraisal with the sub-ordinate bodies for the current fiscal year.

As per the performance appraisal, Radio Nepal will expand its broadcasting coverage, and bring the Biratnager-based Tarani Prasad Koirala Memorial Media hub into full operation.
It further states that the broadcasting service of Radio Nepal will be digitalized to generate additional revenue.

On the occasion, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki directed the subordinate bodies to deliver the services with tangible results.
Minister Karki said honest and dedicated bureaucracy can execute works adopting the government policies and programs.
The performance appraisal was also signed between the Communication secretary and chiefs of divisions and the secretary and the chiefs of other 17 subordinate bodies Under the Ministry.
On the same occasion, secretary Aryal urged employees to work with a target of setting arrears at nil.
