Government of Nepal decides not to move forward with SPP

June 20, Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has decided not to move forward with any program related to the US’s State Partnership Program (SPP).
Unveiling the latest decisions of the cabinet meeting today, Government Spokesperson and Communication Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki informed that all the government bodies are now required to send diplomatic letters only via the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Communication minister Karki added that Jaya Prithvi Bahadur Singh had been declared a national hero of Nepal for his contribution to the development of the country’s education sector, and for promoting Nepal’s image in the World.
The Council of Ministers also decided to appoint Dharmendra Jha as the executive chairman of the national news agency (RSS).
