World Environment Day: Tree plantation takes place in Chandragiri

Kathmandu: Tree planting has taken place in Chandragiri Municipality-6 in Kathmandu on the occasion of World Environment Day being observed across the country.

The tree-planting programme was organised by the Chandragiri Riders Club. Speaking on the occasion, the municipality mayor Ghana Shyam Giri said that the government would accord high priority to protecting the environment and making the municipality full of greenery by planting trees.

“Bicycle trails will be constructed and expanded in the municipality to further promote tourism.”
