Map published unilaterally by India unacceptable to Nepal: Minister Baskota

Kathmandu, Nov. 7: Communications and Information Technology Minister Gokul Pd Baskota has clarified that the map India has issued unilaterally including Nepali territory is objectionable.

Addressing press meet organized at the Ministry to unveil the recent cabinet decisions, Minister Baskota said the recent map issued by India including Nepali territory is not acceptable to Nepal and there are some major problems in other border areas. He also said the problem will be addressed through diplomatic and political channels.

Answering a question regarding the latest American report stating possible terrorist activities in Nepal, Minister Baskota said the US has been unveiling such reports about various countries and Nepal will not give any space for terrorist activities within its territory.

Meantime, unveiling cabinet decision, Minister Baskota said the government has decided to mobilize Nepal Army for security during November 30 by-election.

He also shared that the government has decided to accept the 13.62 billion rupees’ soft load to be provided by the World Bank for promoting employment in the country.
