February 27, Kathmandu: A meeting between the leaders of the Nepali Congress including Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and CPN (UML) held on Saturday failed to make any headway regarding the ratification of the MCC compact and resumption of parliamentary business.

The meeting was convened at the residence of CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli in Balkot.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and UML Chairman Oli were scheduled to meet if the leaders of both parties had reached a consensus.

Emerging from the meeting, Minister Karki told the media that they failed to give a new message from today’s discussions though they made attempts for the same.
