PM Deuba meets UML Chair Oli to discuss MCC

February 18, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairperson of the Main Opposition Party, CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli met on Thursday.
Prime Minister Deuba had reached Oli’s residence at Balkot in Bhaktapur to meet the UML Chair after the meeting of the ruling coalition party leaders.
According to Oli’s secretariat, the current political situation and the American grant assistance, MCC was discussed on the occasion. Prime Minister Deuba along with his wife Arzu had reached Balkot at 8.50 pm on Thursday.
Though the Prime Minister and UML Chair talked about the political developments, they did not reach any conclusion, said Rajesh Bajracharya, Oli’s personal secretary.
He told RSS that the UML will be looking forward to the meeting of the ruling coalition scheduled for Friday again.
In the meeting of the ruling coalition held in Baluwatar earlier Thursday evening, Prime Minister Deuba proposed to pass the MCC from the parliament but the meeting could not reach an agreement and the meeting was adjourned without any conclusion.
