Impeachment motion registered against CJ Rana

Kathmandu: An impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has been registered at the federal parliament secretariat.

Ruling parties’ lawmakers registered the impeachment motion at the parliament secretariat, Singha Durbar at 10:00 am today. In the proposal, they have accused CJ Rana of being incompetent.

Secretariat spokesperson Dr Rojnath Pande informed that Nepali Congress lawmaker Dr Pushpa Bhushal, CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Dev Prasad Gurung and CPN (Unified Socialist) lawmaker Jiban Ram Shrestha initiated the proposal which is backed by 95 lawmakers including Nepali Congress lawmaker Dr Minendra Rijal.
