Kathmandu: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has stressed the need for strengthening democracy shunning the inter-political disputes.

Addressing the programs organized to honour intellectual personalities in Kathmandu on Friday, President Bhandari said all should work for the welfare of the nation keeping the national interest and people at the center.

On the occasion, the president honored centenary person Satya Mohan Joshi, culture expert Hari Ram Joshi, Dr. Mina Acharya, Gopi Raman Upadhyaya, Pro. Dr. Surendra KC and Prof. Dr. Rajesh Gautam.
