Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya says preparations underway for local level elections on May 3

Dhulikhel: Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has said the commission is making preparations to hold local level elections on the May 3 in 2022.

Addressing a workshop about Election and its Management held in Dhulikhel today, The Chief Election Commissioner stated that the local level elections would be held on the stipulated time as the five-year term of the peoples’ representatives would end on the May 19 in 2022.

Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya further said the commission was also working to hold the elections for the posts of members of province assemblies, House of Representatives, and of president and vice-president by Mid-march in 2023.
