Children between 12- 17 years to receive Moderna anti-covid-19 vaccines from tomorrow

Kathmandu: The government is all set to vaccinate youngsters aged between 12 and 17 years against covid-19 from tomorrow. The vaccination campaign will be implemented in 57 districts in the first phase.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and population Dr Sangita Mishra told media that the government was administering the first dose of Moderna vaccines to children aged between 12 and 17 from the 19^th to 29^th of December.

Spokesperson Mishra further said the second dose of the vaccine would be administered from the 16^th to 26^th of January 2022.

As per the ministry’s update children in 8 districts including Kathmandu, Chitwan Dadeldhura and Surkhet will receive the vaccines from the 28^th of December to the 6^th of January.

They will receive the second dose of vaccine from the 18^th to 27^th of January 2022.
