Election Commission directs political parties not to distribute membership to sitting professors, teachers and employees

Election Commission of Nepal has directed all parties not to distribute membership to sitting professors, teachers and employees.

The commission said its attention was drawn towards the news that the professors, teachers and employees holding public offices were elected in the general conventions of various political parties.

The election Commission has also suggested the parties carry out political activities as per the existing laws.
