Hearing resumes on all types of cases at SC

November 17, Kathmandu: Four justices who were boycotting the regular benches of the Supreme Court have started holding hearing on all cases including habeas corpus from Tuesday.

Justices Bam Kumar Shrestha, Manoj Kumar Sharma, Tej Bahadur KC, and Kumar Regmi among agitating justices re-joined the regular business of the Supreme Court.

Chief Justices Cholendra Shamsher Rana had assigned 10 benches for holding hearing 2 hundred and 79 cases for yesterday. However, hearings were held only on 33 cases through 3 benches.

Other Supreme Court justices have been boycotting the regular hearings since the 25^th of October demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Rana.

Meantime, the protesting Nepal Bar Association continued its protest on Tuesday as well demanding the resignation of the Chief Justice.

The Chief justice issuing, a statement on Tuesday called the agitating sides to come for dialogue to resolve the problems seen in the judiciary.
