President Bidya Devi Bhandari calls all human beings to protect environment

President Bidyadevi Bhandari has said that the human race should be aware to reduce the factors that directly affect climate change and the environment.

After inspecting the Agro Manang apple farm in Manang today, she said that the locals have a key role to play in maintaining the cleanliness of Manang and in mitigating the effects of climate change.

Stating that forests and vegetation will play an important role in maintaining the ecological balance, President Bhandari said that human beings have a key role to play in this and it is important to work with awareness and determination that human existence can be saved only if all work together to save the environment.

She said that she was saddened when the Himalayan district Manang was devastated due to the floods and landslides on15th of June.

       President Bhandari stressed on the need for the people to give priority to the conservation of natural resources in the Himalayan region.
