41st World Food Day today; Agriculture Minister says govt committed for food security
October 16, Kathmandu: The 41st World Food Day is being celebrated across the world including Nepal on Saturday with the theme “Our Actions are Our Future”
The day is marked every year at the call of the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to mark its establishment day on October 16, 1974.
Meanwhile, in a message on the occasion of the 41st World Food Day, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Mahendra Raya Yadav said “the government’s efforts have been concentrated on achieving food security by doubling agricultural productivity in the next 10 years”.
