World Heart Day being observed today with the theme “Use Heart to Connect”

September 29, Kathmandu: World Heart Day is being observed in Nepal as well amid various programs today.

Every year the day is celebrated on the 29th of September.

This year the slogan of World Hear Day is “Use Heart to connect”.

The World Heart Association has informed every year 18.6 million people lose their life due to heart disease.

The World Health Organization has informed causes of heart disease includes smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, to air pollution, and less common conditions such as Chagas disease and cardiac amyloidosis.

In the last 2 decades, the number of Heart patients has been increased by 2 times.

Currently, there are 7.5 million heart disease patients in Nepal. the number of Heart Disease patients in Nepal is 7.5 million.
