Prime Minister Deuba says Govt. spends foreign aid according to needs and priorities

September 21, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Government of Nepal spends the assistance provided by the World Bank as per the needs and priorities.
He said this during a meeting with World Bank Vice President for South Asia Hartwig Schafer, at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar on Monday.
Prime Minister’s personal secretary Badri Prasad Tiwari said on the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba thanked the World Bank for its assistance to Nepal in the areas of vaccination against COVID-19, coping with the post-COVID-19 situation and post-earthquake reconstruction.
The Prime Minister also expressed happiness over the upgrading of the World Bank office in Nepal to oversee Bhutan and Sri Lanka as well.
Stating that the Government of Nepal has always been committed to good governance, Prime Minister Deuba said that Nepal was doing remarkable work in the field of mitigating the impact of climate change and had developed a system to move ahead in a more systematic manner to improve the environment in the coming days.
