Nepal needs additional assistance from World Bank to battle Covid-19: Finance Minister Sharma

Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said Nepal needs additional assistance from the World Bank to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a meeting held with the representatives of the World Bank at the Finance Ministry on Thursday, Finance Minister Sharma expected the World Bank’s additional support to revive the country’s economy ensuring Covid-19 vaccines to all the citizens.

The Minister also applauded the World Bank’s supports to Nepal.

On the occasion, World Bank Executive Director Mohd Hassan Ahmad vowed to facilitate Nepal’s proposal to increase assistance.
