Govt. fully vaccinates 5.47 million population in the Country

September 18, Kathmandu: The 4.4 million doses of anti-covid-19 vaccines purchased from China arrived in Kathmandu on Friday.

The government had procured 6 million doses of vaccine in total and out of which 1.6 million doses had been brought in the first phase.

Giving an update about the vaccination programme, Director of the Family Welfare Division of the Health Service Department Dr. Bibek Kumar Lal said 19.9% of the total population had received the first dose of anti-covid-19 vaccines till Friday.

He also informed that 18 percent of the Nepali population had been fully vaccinated.

It means 5.47 million people have been fully vaccinated against the covid-19 in Nepal so far.
