UML statute convention on October 1-3

Kathmandu: The standing committee meeting of the CPN UML held Saturday decided to hold the statute convention on the very first week of October.
The meeting presided over by party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli decided to hold the party statute convention from October 1 to 3, according to Chief of Party Publicity Department, Yogesh Bhattarai.
Earlier, the party had scheduled the convention from September 20 to 22. The convention was rescheduled as the time allocated earlier was not enough. For further discussion, the standing committee is called for September 19-20.
The coming meeting will feature the proposal of statute amendment, political report and organizational report. With its passage, the central committee would endorse it.
The meeting further decided that the convention would have the participation of 3,000 representatives.
