Pampha Bhusal appointed as new Energy Minister

July 13, Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Pampha Bhusal has been appointed as the Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation in the new cabinet.

She was appointed to the post in the Council of Ministers constituted on Tuesday by newly elected Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Bhusal had previously handled the Ministry for Women, Children and Social Welfare, the Ministry for General Administration, the and Ministry for Peace and Reconstruction in the earlier cabinets.

Born in Arghakhani, Bhusal was elected to the House of Representatives from constituency no. 3 of Lalitpur district.

Bhusal is presently a Standing Committee Member of CPN (Maoist Centre).
