Agreement inked to prepare DPR of Lower Arun hydropower project

An agreement has been inked to prepare the DPR of the Lower Arun hydropower project with the capacity of 697 MW.

At the presence of Deputy PM Bishnu Pd Paudel, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Investment Board Shushil Bhatta and Chair of Indian Company Sutlej Electricity Corporation Nanda Laal Sharma singed the agreement to construct the project in Sunkhuwasava.

The simi-reservoir based project is taken as a lucrative one. As per the agreement, the DPR will be prepared in two years and project will be constructed in four years.
