Rain-induced disasters claim 20 lives with 21 still missing

June 22, Kathmandu: Floods, landslides and inundation that have taken place in different places in the country after the torrential rainfall in the recent day has so far claimed the lives of twenty people.
According to Nepal Police Headquarters, twenty-one other people have gone missing and twenty-two individuals have been injured in the incidents of natural disasters.
Spokesperson of Nepal Police Basant Bahadur Kunwar said that a total of 806 people were rescued so far.
The authorities said that twenty-one people in the Sindhupalchowk district and one in Bajura were injured in the incidents of flooding, landslides, and inundation.
According to police, road networks in Jumla, Kaski, Baitadi and other districts have been disrupted and the police personnel have been working to clear the obstacles.
Likewise, a total of 210 houses were inundated and around 3,258 people from 748 households have been displaced due to the disasters.
