Kathmandu Valley extends Lockdown for 1 more week

June 21, Kathmandu: The ongoing prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley has been extended for one more week.
A meeting of three chief district officers of the Valley on Sunday decided to extend the prohibitory order for a week from the 22nd of June.
However, Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli said the restrictions would be eased from Tuesday.
As per the new provisions, the private vehicles and taxis would be allowed to run based on odd and even registration numbers.
Likewise, the shops dealing in jewels, utensils, automobiles and electric appliances can remain open on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Similarly, the shops dealing in sports materials, clothes, shoes, cosmetics and gift and the shopping malls can remain open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The stationaries and bookshops, groceries and dairies can remain open till 11 am and the hardware shops can remain open till six pm from 11 am.
Restaurants and hotels can provide take way and home deliver services.
On Saturday, all shops and services except the highly essential ones should remain shut.
