Global Covid-19 deaths exceed four million

June 18, Kathmandu: As many developing countries around the world struggle to continue their vaccination drive owing to shortages, the number of deaths due to corona infection in the world has exceeded four million, as per the statistics shared by the international news agency Reuters.

Whilst the number of deaths from corona infections has dropped in countries like the US and England, the delta species of coronavirus is causing increased infection and deaths in many parts of the world.

Although it took more than a year for the death toll from the corona to reach two million, it took less than six months for the additional 2 million people to succumb to coronavirus, according to Reuters.
